More than 100 recent Syracuse University graduates connected with experienced alumni in their career fields at this summer’s SUccess In The City event series, June 23 through June 25 at Lubin House. The recent grads were able to build relevant professional connections and gain important insights into their industries, giving them an edge as they launch their careers in the city.
The event series was split into three evenings, each having a different focus. June 23 was for alumni in communications, non-profit, and the arts; June 24, for alumni in business, law, and real estate; and June 25, for alumni in architecture, engineering, IT, and the sciences.
A broad spectrum of more than 80 accomplished alumni participated in the event series as advisors, including Katie Forte ’02, senior producer of strategic events and partnerships at CBS; Scott Lehr ’91, vice president of content and strategic partnerships at NewsCred; Alexandra Martell ’08, online managing editor of Cosmopolitan; Graham Warner ’02, G’13, global head of online, mobile, and desktop client access products at Deutsche Bank; and Marcel Vernon G’94, managing director of U.S. operations and finance at Cushman & Wakefield.
