Past Exhibits

The Kivelson Family, through the generosity of the Eva and Harvey Kivelson Foundation, Inc., has funded the purchase of four display cases for Lubin House to honor Arnold Joseph Kivelson and Claire Frieman Kivelson (A&S '47).

One of the display cases has been installed in the Alumni Resource Center. It will feature regular exhibits from the University Archives. The other cases are located in the first floor lobby and on the third floor landing. They will display rare books and other items of interest from the University Library's Special Collections Research Center.

Arnold Kivelson was the former president of Dynamic Plastics Corporation of East Elmhurst, NY, and the retired chief executive officer of Friemanit Corporation, a New York City childrens clothing manufacturer. He died after a long illness on July 28, 2005.

Clare Frieman Kivelson was active in her community as a trustee of Woodmere Academy, an officer of Woodmere-Hewlett Hadassah, and board member of Temple Sinai in Lawrence. At Syracuse University, she was a member of the Whitman School of Management Corporate Advisory Council and the Library Associates Board of Trustees. She was president of Friemanit until her death in 1989.
