The Prints of Lake Effect Editions at Syracuse University Reception

Now on display at the Louise and Bernard Palitz Gallery, this dynamic exhibition features work from more than 20 emerging artists who have worked as artists-in-residence at the Syracuse University printmaking studio in the College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) and highlights a range of printmaking media such as screenprints, lithographs, intaglio and wood blocks.

Lake Effect Editions is a press entity at Syracuse University that publishes works by visiting artists invited by the printmaking professors to work side by side with undergraduate and graduate students each semester to share their knowledge of printmaking. Through this engagement with master print artists from both the academic and professional print worlds, students learn the tricks and techniques not taught as part of the regular curriculum and use them to create fine, hand-pulled editions of works on paper.
